Sirida Place - Halal Thai Restaurant with Karaoke facilities

January 2012 : Unfortunately, this restaurant is no longer available.

My latest finding is a halal restaurant with a private karaoke room in Bangkok.

Click on the map to enlarge.
Coming from the city centre, take the Viphavadii-Rangsit Road until you see the signage to Soi Ruam Siri Mit, which is another name for Viphavadii-Rangsit Soi 3.
Keep left till you see the Esso station and take the first turning after the petrol station.
Go straight ahead till you reach yaek 15.
Turn into yaek 15 when you see this sign board on your left.

Welcome to Sirida Place

Busaba Muslim Roast Duck Restaurant, Sii Yaan, Bangkok

Coming from Samsen Road, turn into Nakhon Chaisi Road at Sii Yaan Intersection.

Go straight ahead till you see CIMB Thai on the left, opposite of Sii Yaan Wet Market.

If you take the BTS, get down at Victory Monument Station. Walk on the sky walk towards the monument and turn left to get to down to the bus stop. Get on the No. 14 bus from Victory Monument and pay THB6.5 (70 sen), if you take the orange bus & alight at Talaad Sii Yaan (Sii Yaan Market). The conductor will shout out the name of each stop. So, listen carefully. The journey takes about 20 mins.Cross the road and turn left. Walk towards CIMB Bank and BUSABA is just before the bank.

The kitchen is outside, just at the entrance of the restaurant @ kopitiam.

The front view of BUSABA.

The menus are all on the wall. So, you don't have to worry if you don't speak Thai as you can just point what you want.

Busaba serves not only ducks but beef, chicken and seafood, too.

A set of rice with roast duck and soup = THB35

A small plate of roast duck =THB60, while the big plate =THB100.

The nearest masjid to this restaurant is Masjid Noorul Islam.

It's situated about 100m in the alley of Sam Sen Soi 21, about 10 mins walk from BUSABA.

As you leave BUSABA, turn right and walk till you reach Sii Yaan Intersection. Cross the road and turn right again. You'll pass the Royal Irrigation building on the left and continue walking till you get to Sam Sen Soi 21, which is just next to Bank of Ayuthaya.

The wudhu' area and bathroom are on the ground floor.

The prayer hall is on the upper floor

Sarina & Marina Thai Restaurant - Ladphrao Soi 53/1, Bangkok

Sarina & Marina Restaurant is located in a small lane of Ladphrao Soi 53/1. It starts business at around 5pm till 11pm daily. It's best to take a cab there as it's very difficult to get a parking space nearby. We parked our car in Soi 51 and walk to Soi 53/1. It's not far from the Chok Chai junction and the Chok Chai Police Station. Once you get to Soi 53/1, walk in for about 5 metres and you'll see the stalls: 3 all together. One ala-carte stall, one noodles stall and the other is the beverage stall. You can either dine inside the building or on the road as seen in the photos below. The place is always crowded with not only the Muslims as the non-Muslims like to dine here, too. There were 3 of us and had white rice (khao suai), deep fried grouper with chili sauce (plaa kaao rat phrik), morning glory@kangkung (phat pung fai daeng), kailan with salted fish(phat khanna pla khem), shrimp tom yam(tom yam kung) & stir fried lala with roasted chili sauce(hoy laai phat phrik pao). All these dishes with 3 glasses of ice blended fruit drinks came up to THB550 only.

The stalls are right opposite of Tops Deli @ Tops Market

The outdoor kitchen.

7 dishes can be cooked at the same time: service is very fast.

You can dine inside the building or...

...outside on the street.
