Halal food and musolla at Catucak Weekend Market

There're many Muslim stalls scattered around the market. You may see vendors selling 'teh tarik', kebab, fried chicken and also grilled meatballs here and there, but these are not permanent ones. You may see them this week but not next week or the week after.

Below are the bigger permanent stalls available here:
1. Saman Islam at Section 16, just next to the clock tower, serves all kinds of food such as beef noodle soup, chicken rice, duck rice, satay, somtam, tom yam, plain white rice with various cooked dishes and satay.

Somtam = young papaya salad

2. Kah Jak is a lane away from 'Saman Islam'. Coming from the clock tower, if Saman Islam is on your right, turn right, right after the eating area and walk in the lane for about 100m and you'll see Kah Jak on your right.

Rice + catfish with basil leaves = THB50
3. The yellow chicken rice (khao mok kai) stall is situated on the right and adjacent to the signage of Toilet 3 and opposite of a ceramic store called Zera House. It's in Section 5 which faces Section 14.

Performing your solat is not a problem when shopping here. Just look for Gate 1.

From Gate 1, you'll be able to see the TMB Bank on your left. Walk in the alley next to the bank, turn left and you'll see the musolla. It's in Section 27.

Separate rooms for male and female.

It's situated behind the 'musolla'.

Musolla is also available on the 2nd floor in JJ Mall.
