Talaat La Laai Sap, Silom Soi 5, Bangkok

This day market literally translates as “spend all the money you came with”. Located near the huge Bangkok Bank building in Silom Road and within the narrow, alley of Silom Soi 5 - or Soi La Lai Sap – the lane is lined with stalls mainly selling men’s and women’s clothing, plus fresh fruit and other items. Good quality Thai silk and branded clothing items and accessories are also available in Trinity Mall in the alley.

The market opens on weekdays from 9 am-3 pm, while prime shopping time is from noon until around 2 pm. Credit cards are not accepted here.

To get here:
1. take the MRT to Si Lom station and take exit 2. Walk down Silom Road for about 5 minutes until you see Silom Soi 5, and you’re there.

2 from BTS Sala Daeng, take exit 1 and walk straight down Silom Road for 3-4 minutes to Silom Soi 5.

3. from BTS Chongnonsi, take exit 4, walk down the steps and turn right at 7-Eleven. Walk straight into the alley and you'll see the market.
