Masjid Indonesia also known as Masjid Polo is located at 71/1, Soi Sanamklee(Soi Polo 5), off Wittayu Road. It's not far from the American Embassy and the Lumphini Park. Another nearby landmark is Wat Mahatai (Mahatai Temple) on Soi Ruamrudii.

This Muslim food stall near the masjid is open on weekdays only.

Masjid Ban Thuek Din, Khao San.

It's pretty difficult to get to this masjid as it's located in a small alley in the midst of cramped houses. Look for the Ratchadamnoen Post Office and it's in the small lane right after the post office as in the photo below. The signage at the entrance of the lane is in Thai only.

It's located on Soi Chan Mueang, behind JUSCO (Carrefour is no longer there), Ratchadapisek Road. The nearest MRT station is the Thailand Cultural Centre Station.

Masjid Cakraphong is situated in a small lane called Trok Surao on Cakraphong Road, in the area of Banglamphoo, not far from Khaosan Road and Phra Athit Pier. It's also near the Roti Murtabak Restaurant, which is at the corner of Phra Athit and Phra Sumen Road, just across the Phra Sumen Fort. In the evening you'll find Muslim vendors selling food near the fort.

Trok Surao is located opposite of Tang Hua Seng Department Store. Muslim food is available along the way to the masjid.

Masjid Darul Aman is located on Phetchaburi Soi 7, which is about 300m from the Ratchathewi BTS Station and about 1km from Platinum Fashion Mall or Pratunam Market and MBK Shopping Centre.

Masjid Mirasuddeen is located on Silom Road Soi 20, about 1km from Surasak BTS Station, 1km from Nong Chongsi BTS Station and 1.6km from Saladaeng BTS Station. It's about 360m from Tamil Nadu South Indian Restaurant (Silom Soi 11).

The Foundation of Islamic Centre of Thailand is beautifully designed and built on Ramkhamhaeng Road Soi 3.

There are three masjid in Nana area (Sukhumvit Soi 3 & 5):

1. on 1st floor in Sahara Hotel, Sukhumvit Road Soi 5;
2. on first floor in Shahrazad Restaurant, Sukhumvit Road Soi 3/1; and

3. in the alley next to Sky Inn Hotel, behind Petra Restaurant (Soi 3/1) -Masjid Nana.

Will post the pictures later, InsyaAllah.

Masjid Ban Oou has been around since 1912. It is located on Thanon Charoenkrung Soi 48, between Centrepoint (Robinson's Dept Store) and Shangri La Hotel (Chao Phraya) and about 200m from Saphan Taksin BTS Station. To get there by BTS, take the Silom line and alight at Saphan Taksin Station. Take Exit 1 and as you swipe your card look towards right and you'll see an alley. Walk on the alley and you can see the Food Centre on your right. Walk further till the end and Masjid Ban Oou is on your right.

Masjid Zhohirul Islam is on Sukhumvit Road Soi 55 or better known as Thonglor. It's between Thonglor Police Station and Mercedes Benz showroom, not far from The Clove Condominium and Thonglor Soi 20.

  1. Waalaikum assalam. Iam going to stay in Windsor Suite near Sukhumvit 20, I would like to perform tarawikh prayers during my stay in Bangkok, I wonder if you can indicate the nearest mosque or musholla for this prayers.

  2. The nearest would be one of the three masjids at Nana Soi 3/1. The nearest BTS Station is Nana BTS Station, but the fastest way to get there is just take the motorcycle taxi (the guys with orange jackets on). It may cost you about THB40 but you'll get there much faster than taking the cab. Tell the rider to go to Foodland, Nana. Just a little further down is a 7-Eleven on your left. Walk in the little lane at 7-Eleven and you'll get to Soi 3/1. In front of you is Nefertiti Egyptian restaurant.
-Turn left and immediate right and walk for about 10-15m and you'll see the Nana Mosque signage on a wall on your left.
-Turn right to go to Shahrazad. It's on your left.
-If you go further up, passing Shahrazad and turn in the lane on your right, you'll find the other masjid on the first floor of Sahara Hotel, on your left.

It's very common to have iftaar at masjids in Bangkok. You can go for iftaar and stay up till tarawikh.

  3. Assalam wu alaikum.
I am am America and am looking to marry my fiance in a Muslim ceremony and would like to know which mosque is more English Friendly. This is important for the conversion and the nikka itself.
If you can help, it would mean so much.

  4. Thank you Lynn

I manage to get to Masjid Nana tonight for isya' and tarawikh. I must admit that if I am the driver, I will have gone into the wrong junctions many times but that Soi 3/1 saves me and of course those few I enquired in the area. The masjid is in an apartment building and surrounded by them, two storeys, one for the ladies. The sign is actually on the door of the masjid. Thanks again anyway. The tarawikh is just like in Masjidil Haram, except for only 8 rakaats and the short talk (in Arabic) after the 4th and the doa during qunut in witr. The masjid was full!! And international, I saw a couple of locals only. I even walk back to the hotel.
May God bless you with the effort.

  5. Wa'alaikum slam wbt Inshan.
I suggest you visit the Foundation of Islamic Centre of Thailand on Ramkhamhaeng Road Soi 3 to obtain further info. Besides that you could also enquire at Masjid Mirasudeen on Silom Soi 20 as there're many English speakers who frequent this masjid.
Good luck and share the outcome with me later, yeah.
